Back in the fall of 2015, I was working on a my Disney series of wedding themes. I created colour palettes for many of the most popular Disney princesses (though there are a few I have yet to get to!). In November, I created a Belle themed collage in red and gold and if you look back on that post you'll see that I was very excited about the live-action film coming out in a year and a half. Well, it's a year and a half later and that movie was released today! I can't believe how quickly the time has passed!

To honour today's release of the live-action Beauty and the Beast, I've put together a new Disney colour scheme in shades of blue and gold. The overall feel of this inspiration board is quite different than the last - it's still elegant but feels more airy and subtle.

It's all in the details:

  • The "Be Our Guest" entrance sign
  • Gold candlestick centrepieces
  • A stunning blue and gold cake perched on a stack of books

A big thanks to:

This summery colour scheme is another reader request and I'm so excited to be sharing it with you. The goal for this palette was to bring coral and gold together in a fun and unique way. The bride presented me with the coral and gold leaves pictured in the photo below and let me run with it. I'm so pleased with the final result! This is one of those perfect summer colour schemes for the bold couple wanting a touch of elegance.

It's all in the details:
  • Gold polka-dotted vases
  • Coral and gold abstract triangles lining a white cake
  • A stunning bouquet of coral lilies

 A big thank you to:

Ruffled Blog for the cake
The Wedding Scoop for the table cards
Style Me Pretty for the centrepiece
MODWedding for the bridal bouquet

As summer slowly approaches, I'm getting busier and busier with special requests! This request came to me from a bride looking for a pastel blue, blush, navy and gold colour palette. These colours came together quite nicely and with Serenity and Rose Quartz as last year's Pantone colours of the year, it was pretty easy to find some inspiration.

My favourite part of this colour scheme is how it has these rich elements like gold and navy that kind of ground the look of the palette overall. The light blues and pinks don't end up looking washed out and they're giving an elegant flair.

It's all in the details:

  • A delicate gold jewelry box
  • Bold navy sequinned table cloths
  • Blush and navy stones set in gold

A big thank you to:

Elegant Wedding for the photo of the cake
100 Layer Cake for the wedding ring photo and for the bouquet photo

It's that time of year again, ladies and gents!

I absolutely love February for so many reasons. It's a short month and it feels like we're starting to get closer to spring. Of course, there's Valentine's Day which I'll deal with in upcoming post, but best of all, it's SUPER BOWL TIME! Woohoo!

If you saw my Super Bowl post from last year, you may already know that I'm a big fan of the New England Patriots. Half my wardrobe consists of Patriots gear and I've visited Gillette Stadium three times, which is a 12 hour drive from my home, by the way! They didn't make it to the Super Bowl last year, much to my dismay, but they pulled it together this year and I'm feeling pretty confident that they're going home as champions on Sunday night!

As great as the New England Patriots are, I do realize that some of you may be Atlanta Falcons fans so I've included you fine folks in this post as well. Today's TWO collages include a red, black and grey Atlanta Falcons wedding colour scheme and a red, white and blue New England Patriots palette. I'm so excited to share these with you, and with my team bias aside, I do think that both of these colour schemes would be stunning options for my fellow football fans out there!

Fun fact: My family owns a set of those Patriots wine glasses. I bought them at the Patriots Pro Shop at Gillette Stadium!

Today, where I live, it was a snow day. The schools were canceled due to poor road conditions caused by a big snowstorm that we had the other night. The storm didn't even happen today and we're still dealing with it. That's the part of winter that I don't like and that keeps me dreaming of tropical vacations all season long. At the end of the tunnel (mid-April), there is a trip to the beautiful Dominican Republic waiting for me. My brother-in-law is getting married on the beach and I am so thrilled that I get to celebrate with them in paradise. It just CAN'T. COME. SOON. ENOUGH!!!

So in an effort to help tame my urges to pack my bags and move somewhere less snowy, I spent my day putting together this colour scheme that I've named Seaside Lime. If I had a destination wedding myself, I could totally envision using this palette! Turquoise, as I've mentioned before, is a personal favourite because it reminds me of the ocean. I've paired it with chartreuse, a lime-y, yellow-green colour and when balanced with some sandy neutrals, this bold combination looks festive yet put-together. While here in Canada in January, this pair might look a little intense and out of place, the tropics pretty much beg for these bright colours!

Are you planning or have you planned a destination wedding? I'd love to hear what colours you chose for your big day!

It's all in the details:
  • A chartreuse garter with turquoise flowers
  • Turquoise table runners over sandy brown tablecloths
  • Green spider flowers in an all-green bouquet
