Navy, Blush and Gold Garden Wedding Colour Scheme

Lately I've been feeling particularly inspired to create a garden-themed colour scheme. For some reason, garden weddings strike me as glamorous and a glamorous wedding is deserving of dark, rich colours. As it's intended for outside, however, I didn't want this colour scheme to feel too weighted so I began my hunt for the perfect balance between light, airy colours and bold, show-stopping colours.

One of my go-to colours has always been navy - not just for weddings but for almost everything in my life. It's an incredibly versatile colour and there aren't many colours that can't go with it, so this is where I started. I then tried to think of something completely opposite of navy to counteract the darkness - this is how I ended up with blush. It's so soft and delicate, and can be so easily added into floral arrangements. Navy and blush didn't seem complete enough to me though so I rounded it out with one of my favourite accent colours - gold.

Details I love:
  • The stunning blush-coloured peonies in the bridal bouquet
  • The Chiavari chairs, painted gold
  • Navy blue glitter - an unexpected twist!
Bonus: Blush should be really easy to come by this year, with one of Pantone's colours of the year for 2016 being Rose Quartz!
