Burnt Orange, Copper and Gold Elegant Fall Wedding Colour Scheme

It's no secret that I get really excited about the holidays. It starts every year at the end of August. Pumpkin spice starts to make an appearance again and suddenly there's a huge switch in my brain. I'm mainly a Christmas fanatic, but I do really love fall and Thanksgiving, and with Thanksgiving weekend having just passed here in Canada, I had been feeling particularly inspired to put together a wedding colour scheme that is festive yet elegant.

For this colour scheme, I brought in my two favourite metallics - gold and copper. These warm tones are perfect for fall and look lovely with a burnt orange. I like burnt orange because it's kind of like the colour of pumpkin pie, and pumpkin pie is awesome. In the picture below, check out the beautiful copper stationary by Kim Roach - she's a fellow Maritimer and I'm a big supporter of local work!

This year, it seems as though metallic pumpkins are a big deal and I hope they stick around for a few more years. They make a wonderful addition for a fall wedding! It's amazing what a can or two of metallic spray paint can do for ordinary objects!

It's all in the details:

  • A dainty gold crown for the bride
  • The simplicity of copper leaves lining a white cake
  • Gold-painted pine cones for a more rustic touch

Thank You:
